Tailoring the Fit: Bending, Shaping, and Adjusting If you're new to harness-style saxophone straps, start by bending the strap at approximately 1/3 of the total length, then gently adjust the curve to suit your shoulder. The bendable metal frame inside the leather allows you to gradually mold the strap to the contours of your shoulder for a personalized, comfortable fit.

For women and teens, you can even use the armrest of a sofa to help shape the frame. Remember, the back side of the strap should be longer than the front side, typically by 1.6"~2.3" (4~6cm) for optimal support and balance.
